It’s unfortunate, but most podiatry job ads oversell; they claim to “cover all aspects of podiatry” when, in reality, the role typically involves 95% routine care, home visits, or care in nursing homes.
Be honest about the mix (MSK, routine, home visits), the pay, and whether they need to drive to multiple locations, then ask yourself if you would accept it.
If not, fix what repels you and keep what attracts you. When your role is genuinely appealing to you, you’ll attract clinicians with a similar mindset and values.
