Every year, from grade three to grade seven, I would compete in the 100 metres, and every year, I came 4th…and it sucked. Except for one year, I fell over and came 5th.
I could have easily given up, but I didn’t, and I’m so glad I continued running because things changed when I hit high school in a very positive way.
