A few weeks ago, I was thinking about my WHY, and while I was having one of those questioning moments, I received a copy of my BIO and was asked to review it for an upcoming speaking gig.
In the last paragraph of my BIO, it says that Tyson knows he will never find the cure for cancer, but he hopes one day he will inspire someone who will find the cure.
That is a very strong WHY, and as the saying goes:
“Everything Starts with WHY”
If you’re lacking motivation or struggling with what you should be doing next in your podiatry business, take a step back and reflect on WHY you decided to set up your own business.
Did you want more time with your family? If so, are you spending more time with your family or working too much?
When you make money, what are you going to do with it? Maybe you wanted to have your own business so you could potentially make more money than you could as an employee. I know from experience that money alone will not motivate you unless you have a WHY attached to it.
Everyone has a WHY but sometimes we must be reminded of what it was.
