  5. If you feel uncomfortable explaining orthotics, it may be due to a lack of knowledge or confidence.
  6. Use orthotics to address not just the immediate problem, but potential future issues with foot health.
  7. Always educate your patients on why orthotics could help, even if it’s not related to their current problem.
  8. Don't push orthotics if they’re not necessary; always act in the patient’s best interest.
  9. If a more experienced podiatrist would recommend orthotics, ask yourself why you’re hesitating to do so.
  10. Offering services or products, like coaching or orthotics, should only be done if you truly believe it will help the individual.
