Doing Something is Better than Doing Nothing

No matter how you're feeling or what is going on in your life, you can always do something to move you one step closer to your goals. 

As you'll see and hear in this video, I'm not feeling very well. Instead of staying in bed or sitting around doing nothing, I decided to shoot my weekly video because getting at least one video out every week means a lot to me. 

Doing something, no matter how small, is far better than doing nothing at all.

[00:00:00] Hi, how you doing I'm Tyson Franklin and welcome to this week's video, as you may tell from my voice. So a little bit croaky at the moment, cause I have not been well for about the last five or six days. I was thinking of not actually doing this video this week. But I've already canceled a few things already, supposed to have a webinar on Monday night, , yesterday. And I had to put that off because I can talk for a little bit, but then my throat really packs it in and I start coughing.

[00:00:28] So it's not going to be good for webinars. So I'm going to record that later in the week. And I'll send a copy of that out to everybody that had actually registered. So bear with me, I'll get it done the next few days.

[00:00:38] This video is all about. Doing something is better than doing nothing at all. And this relates back to when you're setting goals, it might be free for the month, for the quarter, for the year. And sometimes there'll be certain things we want to achieve. But things don't always go to plan.

[00:00:56] It could be you're a little bit sick or there's an accident. There's an injury. There's [00:01:00] something that happens at work. But I think what you need to, regardless of what's going on is every day, you need to make some form of effort of doing just, just something that moves or that little bit closer towards your goal.

[00:01:13] And like I said, I could quite easily have not done this week's video, but my plan is to do a video. Every week. So last week I didn't do a newsletter yet. I still did the video, which are uploaded to YouTube.

[00:01:25] So just keep that mind, regardless of what is happening in your life, what has happening in your family life, work life, whatever it is, that you're better to do something that moves you that little bit closer to your goal or the thing that you want to achieve is better than doing absolutely nothing at all.

[00:01:45] And if you think about that on a regular basis those days when you don't feel like doing anything? Just doing something is going to make a difference.

[00:01:53] It could be making that phone call. It could be writing that letter, writing that report, doing a blog article might be shooting a [00:02:00] video. It could be anything, but whatever it is you're going to do, look at what your goal is for the month, for the quarter, for the year and does that relate to what it is you're about to do?

[00:02:10] Because sometimes we can easily get bogged down in just doing day-to-day tasks, things that just waste time. And we're doing that just to, so it looks like we're actually keeping busy, but we're just distracting ourselves from the work that needs to get done.

[00:02:24] So I had to get something from that.
